The Wishbone, the creation of Danish furniture designer Hans Wegner (1914–2007). Manufacturer Carl Hansen will launch 12 new colors.
Sixty years later, Carl Hansen still produces the Wishbone chair as Wegner intended—with traditional bent woods and woven paper seats— but without letting prices spiral out of control. “It cannot be cheaply produced,” Christian Skovhus, owner of Icons of Denmark, says. “If a copy exists, it’s been glued or laminated and has no longevity.”
