Escale à Pondichéry.
The Escales de Dior collection is a series of invitations to escapades and enticingly scented escapes. A year after Escale à Portofino, Parfums Christian Dior sets sail again for a passage to India. A new destination, a new fragrance: Escale à Pondichéry.
Escales de Dior fragrances are ports of call with a cologne spirit that evokes timeless fashion. These are scented alter egos to the Dior Couture cruise collections, inspired by dreams of exotic lands and the raw materials they contain.
In Pondicherry, the former trading post of the French East India Company, Dior Perfumer-Creator François Demachy discovered a true treasure: black tea.
He chose this precious, subtle material for the heart of the perfume, creating a fragrance marked by sophisticated freshness.
The black tea is enwrapped with three equally exceptionally ingredients, all emblematic of India.
The scent of cardamom melds with the sensual floral notes of Sambac jasmin, a voluptuous white flower associated with love in India. The sandalwood base reveals warm, balsamic notes. The result is a delicately addictive fragrance.
The same elegantly classic bottle signs all the fragrances in the Escales collection. Graced with the iconic Dior cane motif, the glass bottle and silver top resonate with Christian Dior's unique vision of couture, a timeless fashion defined by simplicity and modernity.
Time stands still in an enchanted interlude as Escale à Pondichéry visits this second stop on an olfactory journey signed Christian Dior.
